Christine Poarch’s presentation was a timely and useful crash course on immigration in America. As the topics of border patrols, undocumented migrants, and U.S. citizenship continue to pervade the news, this informative session was undoubtedly valuable to those looking for the facts behind these debates. Though the material she presented at the assembly was relatively non-partisan, those who ate lunch with Poarch discussed more personal opinions and viewpoints, a good skill to practice, especially with an accomplished lawyer. Poarch’s breadth of knowledge in her field and U.S. politics in general is very impressive.
